Kumiko (Created during a three-year stay in Japan)
...Kumiko series... Inspiration of the glass sculpture is Japanese wooden craft art named Kumiko. Kumiko is a delicate and sophisticated technique of assembling wooden pieces without the use of nails. This creates fine and emotional decors that are used in architecture. I transferred the Kumiko decors into the glass material. I have added to the geometric delicacy of the decors the color and nature of flowing glass to underline the emotions and calmness and dynamism.
