Reminiscences
In 1997 I participated in IGS (International Glass Symposium in Nový Bor in 1997). I toured the Crystalex glassworks and discovered failed replicas of historic glass in the workshops. These failed historical replicas fascinated me because they were paradoxically too perfectly made, they were mass-produced. The replicas struck me as cold and austere. I wanted to change them and give them a new life story or destiny. That's why I blew on them with hot glass and started to reshape them, changing their shape, changing the painted decor and proportions. Despite this visual change, they still relate to history. I continued this concept by blowing hot glass into historic glass at the Moser glassworks.
